Individualized Education Program (IEP) documents can be confusing and overwhelming. Understanding what each portion of the IEP is for and how it is designed to support your child’s learning needs can make the document easier to navigate and remove some of the stress from the IEP experience.

Understanding the IEP Document is personalized for each participant. You will bring a duplicate copy of your child’s IEP to the training and utilize this as the primary tool for unveiling the meaning of the acronyms and sections of the IEP document while simultaneously learning about how to navigate both IEP
meetings and the IEP process. Discussion and questions are welcomed throughout the training. Our goal is for you to leave this training with an increased understanding of the IEP document, terminology used during IEP meetings, and how to more successfully navigate the IEP process.
